COURSE OVERVIEW

Welcome to Your Testimony and The Hero’s Journey. The Hero’s Journey is a story structure that is used across all cultures, across all time. It’s the primary story structure used throughout scripture. Adam & Eve, Moses, Joseph, Jonah, Samson, and Jesus’ own ministry all follow this structure. In fact, some argue that the Bible follows this structure in its entirety. We believe this story structure is hard-wired into all humanity by our creator. In this course, we’ll support those beliefs and show how the Church can begin using this story structure to tell better stories, to testify more effectively for how God is transforming lives. 

COMPLETING THIS COURSE WILL HELP YOU:

• Plug your testimony and the testimony of others into an engaging story structure
• See how Jesus is the fulfillment of the monomyth, a story told if every culture and language throughout time
• Develop the skills necessary to recognize story in yourself and others
• Understand how you can ask the right questions to pull this story out of anyone’s testimony for relationship building, disciple-making, and content production

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course is designed for all Christians. The Church is in a state of story poverty. The gap between what God is doing to transform lives and the rate at which we’re telling those stories is a vast and endless gap. This course is designed to help the Bride start telling better stories within the context of an individuals testimony. We have all been called to testify of what God has done in our lives, the lives of others, and in communities around the world. Let’s start telling better stories, for His glory, for the edification of the Church, and to better reach a lost world.
